This open-to-the-public market brings together local makers, delicious food, live music, a DJ, and line dancing in a relaxed waterfront setting. It’s an easy way to enjoy the outdoors, support small businesses, and spend time with friends and family by the bay. Proceeds from the event benefit The Love Fund.

HOMESTEAD, FL (June 2026): South Florida’s boating and law enforcement communities will come together for a powerful day of competition, community, and purpose at the South Florida PBA Dolphin Shootout, a one-day offshore Mahi fishing tournament paired with a vibrant, family-friendly Fishing Village experience, co-hosted by On The Water Daily.
Taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Homestead Bayfront Park, the event invites anglers, families, and supporters alike to participate in or enjoy one of South Florida’s most meaningful fishing tournaments, all while supporting a vital cause.
This charity tournament benefits The Love Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting fallen officers and their families.
A Day of Competition & Community
The Dolphin Shootout is open to PBA members, supporters, and community anglers. Boats may depart from any port, with fishing officially beginning at 6:00 AM.
Anglers will compete for top honors, including:
$10,000 Grand Prize for the heaviest Mahi (17,000 in overall prize money)
On-stage weigh-ins from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Awards ceremony at 5:00 PM on the main stage
While the competition unfolds offshore, the public is invited to enjoy the Fishing Village, open 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, featuring:

About The Love Fund
Established in 1984, the Love Fund is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization that fills a critical need by aiding fallen officers and their families when no other resources are available. Funds raised help cover funeral expenses for officers killed in the line of duty, provide educational support for their children, and offer psychological counseling for officers and immediate family members affected by the stresses of the profession.
Since its inception, the Love Fund has also assisted officers facing personal crises such as illness, home damage, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Funded through SFLPBA events and community contributions, all donations are fully tax-deductible.
